kann ich das aus zeitgründen nicht durchnehmen. Ich habe aber die sieben club-zettel herausgepickt, af A 4 querformat zweispaltig gepackt und in meinen freiarbeitsordner für die guten schüler gesteckt. sie können dann ganz allein mit dem material arbeiten. für den fall, dass noch jemand das gern in abgespeckter form einsetzen würde, hier die halbe seite einleitung und aufgabenstellung, die ich dazu gegeben habe: Club rush at Issaquah High School In many American schools, there is a club rush at the beginning of a new school year. During the breaks or lunch hour, the different clubs try to inform pupils about their activities and their plans for the school year. They try to convince as many pupils as possible to join their club. You will see that some clubs offer really interesting activities, trips etc. Please have a look through the following seven club offers. Choose three of them for a closer look. Then answer the following questions about every one of them: - What do you find most attractive about the offer? - What might stop you from joining this club? - How active is the club? Where do the activities take place? - Will any results be presented to the public? - Do you have to be good to join the club, or is anybody welcome? - Do you feel you can really learn something there or is it just a nice way of passing the afternoon and having fun with others? - What questions would you like to ask club members at the infor-mation desk? - Do teachers play an important role in this club? - How important do you think this club is for the life of the school? - Do you believe what is said about the club? - Would you be able to convince (überzeugen) your best friend to come along? Explain why (not).  Then imagine a club you would like to invent or join and describe the activities you would dream of. Write a text like the seven texts you have got.

Nicht so gelungen!
Ich finde das nicht so gelungen, da es für meine Klasse eine Katastrophe war. Villeicht hat es anderen geholfen, deshalb meine ich, dass Ihr eintrag nich sinnlos war. Killo

...das kommt natürlich auch immer drauf an, wie die klasse zum thema hingeführt wird. man sollte natürlich in den stunden vorher schonmal amerikanische high school clubs und deren funktion besprochen haben. bei mir war die stunde top und der klasse hats großen spaß gemacht.

Wow!
Ich stehe gerade am Anfang meines Referendariats und bin gerade ebenfalls bei der fünften Unit... . Habe meine Achter mit einem "American High School ABC" auf Clubs und das High School Leben an sich vorbereitet, so dass sich deine Gruppenarbeit nun eigentlich perfekt anschließen könnte. Hast dir viel Mühe gemacht, werde es auf jeden Fall einsetzen. Tausend Dank!

Deine Texte passen auch gut zur 3. Unit in den New Highlight-Lehrbüchern ("At Sullivan High"). Ich habe sie für meine HS-8 zusätzlich mit weiteren Vokaleblhilfen entlastet.
